This project explores the potential for reusing discarded coffee capsules and wasted plastic nylon to create innovative tea bags. Recognizing South Korea's status as a leading coffee consumer, we aimed to address the significant issue of coffee capsule and coffee grounds waste. Our goal was to find sustainable solutions for these discarded materials.
Coffee capsules, known for their durability against hot liquids, provided a unique opportunity for repurposing. By integrating these capsules with the rich tradition of British tea culture, we sought to tackle waste issues prevalent in both Korean coffee culture and British tea culture. This project not only highlights the potential for sustainable reuse but also bridges cultural practices through innovative design solutions.
